MINGS Webinar: Career Planning – Influence Your Future with an IDP!

Doing a doctorate is never an easy task. It requires a strong commitment for several years, and the route of success, whatever that personally means for you (e.g. professorship, academic management, job outside academia), is mostly full of uncertainties. The current pandemic crisis even increased the pressure that comes along with a doctorate. In this situation, we believe that an old cliché still holds true “If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail”. The MIN Graduate School designed a tool in order to foster your personal planning process right from the start: the Individual Development Plan, or in short, the IDP! In a live online session we will explain the IDP, what it is, why it might be useful for you, and how you can adapt it to your specific needs. In particular, it is recommended for the 1st and 2nd year doctoral researchers to attend the webinar.
